A Revved-Up Vision for the Work We Do

Exciting changes are happening at TraCorp!

TraCorp gets a fresh coat of paint with new branding to match the speed and acceleration of its revitalized vision within the industry. More importantly, TraCorp is proud to announce Tobi Flowers’ succession to the position of President and CEO. These changes are ushering in a new era with the company’s biggest year of new features for the TraCorp learning platform.

Unveiling a Refreshed Brand—Knowledge is Speed with TraCorp.

The way we work continues to transform. People work remotely and in hybrid capacities, sometimes on the other side of the world from their company headquarters. Governments are testing standardized four-day work weeks. Security and privacy are mission-critical and evolving daily. In the knowledge industry, learners have more content to sift through and choose from than ever before. Often, learners select content that is not optimal for their needs or given time and situation. Organizations have lost sight of their budgets being inundated with per-employee software fees when, in the case of learning platforms, those precious funds should be spent on the learning content itself.

TraCorp believes the key to organizational success is the quick and accurate availability of quality training and performance support materials for learners.

Progressive organizations will be using personalized learning and development programs, scalable software, and automation to transform their business operations as we adapt to the future of workforce development. Race teams have been doing this for decades, fine-tuning their drivers’ skills, racecars, and pit crew processes until they are ready to compete for each unique race and track. Former CEO and founder Andy Schermuly and daughter Tobi Flowers have always shared a love and passion for the racing world. They always saw the overlap among the communities to pursue incremental improvement season after season naturally. Like most race enthusiasts, Andy and Tobi are invigorated by the adrenaline rush of competition and championship wins on the track and in the business. TraCorp is rebranding and channeling a passion for racing to bring speed, precision, and transformation to the knowledge industry to help each customer reach their podium potential.

A Story of Succession—Passing the Driver’s Seat from Father to Daughter

At the start of the new year, TraCorp welcomed the succession of Tobi Flowers as President and CEO, a transition that has been developing since 2019. Late last year, TraCorp celebrated the retirement of founder Andy Schermuly, who will retain a Chairman Emeritus role and now serve the company as an advisor. What TraCorp customers can count on is the same quality of service and work the company provides and that customers have come to expect. Tobi and Andy will still be found at racetracks across North America, enjoying their favorite motorsports teams and brainstorming innovative ideas and strategies for TraCorp.

Tobi brings strong leadership, business acumen, and technology excellence to TraCorp. Her accolades include being an alumnus of Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses program, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Emerging Leaders program, and a proud ASU supplier and graduate. With a business, film, and computer science background and a lifetime of learning from successful entrepreneurs, Tobi is electrified to navigate TraCorp with an innovative, modern approach. Working solely in the learning and development industry for the past 14 years, specializing in leading software engineering teams and large-scale projects, she continues to push TraCorp to its maximum potential. Tobi maintains the doctrine that keeps customers at the center of TraCorp’s focus, knowing that their victory means TraCorp’s victory. Helping customers meet their goals and cross their finish lines is an integral part of TraCorp’s business that keeps them returning. Most notably, the team recently completed a project where the customer said,

[Tobi] and your team made it clear that you were equally invested in [the project’s] success, which was evident throughout. That is just another example of how you all went above and beyond to meet our objectives.
– Judge Cohen, Family Court Presiding Judge, Superior Court of Arizona

Along with driving the company's vision and customer focus, Tobi cultivates a flexible, transparent, and collaborative workplace that advocates employee work-life balance. Knowing that actions speak louder than words, Tobi and her husband, Christian, also TraCorp’s Chief Technology Officer, work hard to model the behavior of balancing their daily work, entrepreneurship, personal growth, life goals, and passions. They spend their time off the clock traveling, working on their RV, cooking, hiking, rock climbing, seeking out local businesses and restaurants, engaging with local car enthusiasts, or watching their favorite race teams compete. Tobi and Christian defy the hustle culture by encouraging employees to use their vacation, flex their time, and find balance so they can bring their best selves to work each day.

Learn more about the history of TraCorp

Our Rebuilt Engine to Deliver Speed and Scale for Training Needs Takes Form in the TraCorp Learning Platform.

TraCorp has championed the ever-evolving nature of continuous learning and development. For the past 15 years, TraCorp’s Learning Management System (LMS) has evolved into the Learning Experience Platform (LXP) that the industry is looking for today. Why was this needed? Historically, TraCorp’s LMS customers drove the roadmap directly by funding each project and new release. Long-term customers understand the value of delivering an engaging learning experience, so we built those features into what the product is today. The customer-driven roadmap is known as the TraCorp LMS Community-Driven Model. Some of TraCorp’s greatest outcomes that benefited the entire community of LMS customers were projects executed by partnering multiple customers from different industries on a single, holistic new feature. TraCorp’s learning platform wouldn’t be what it is today without this model’s results.

In 2024, TraCorp’s vision is broader than ever before. As the company continues to work alongside customers to enhance the platform, its contributions will accelerate the rate of improvements to make the TraCorp LMS the most competitive learning platform on the market. Customers have been calling the TraCorp LMS the industry’s best-kept secret for years, but it’s time for this competitive advantage for the learner-focused and world-class knowledge teams to be known.
